Clue Crypt
- Rounds XI - XIV
TBC Clue XI
Overlord: Sapphire Victim: Draco Malfoy
Killer: Evangeline_Black Winner: Bragg
This time, the Clue Crew were forced to investigate the murder of
Draco Malfoy - one of the Dark Lord's less capable followers, despite some fans
who insist he is 'mighty sexay'. Clue XI was the best-supported round so
far, with the longest game thread on record at a massive 188 posts, and a considerable number of
new members joining the TBC Clue Crew. It also saw the Bragg/Sapphire
dominance of the winner's circle extend well into a second year, when Bragg was
crowned the eventual winner. One of the newer members of the Clue
Crew, Evangeline_Black, was found to have done the deed, making amazing use
of yet another Werewolf Fang. Reports that Raven and Lupin were being
questioned about a possible supporting role in the crime are, as yet,
unconfirmed.
TBC Clue XII
Overlord: Bragg Victim: Rita Skeeter
Killer:
Scheherazade Winner: Raven
To reflect the still-recent release of HBP, the Clue cards were reshuffled again
at the start of this round, with new weapons and locations from the new text
replacing a few of the old, bringing a little more variety to the Clue
universe. On this occasion, the killer struck at another member of the journalistic
fraternity - or should that be sorority? Rita Skeeter, multi-award-winning
columnist for the Daily Prophet and all-round pain-in-the-ass, was found killed
after a particularly acerbic report on the 'sexual politics' of certain members
of the Cafe. As you would expect, all sorts of rumours circulated after the downfall of such a notorious and well-known figure, but only the TBC
detectives were able to sort the facts from the fiction. It took a scant 5
weeks for Raven to determine that the killer was, in fact,
Scheherazade, who used the newly-discovered spell 'Sectumsempra', and committed
the crime in Gryffindor Tower, with the hope of framing a certain bushy-haired
Gryffindor for the crime... Her whereabouts are still unknown.
TBC Clue XIII
Overlord: Raven Victim: Crabbe & Goyle
Killer: OverlyObsessed Winner: Bragg
For the first time in well over 2 years, a new Overlord took the reins for
the thirteenth round of Clue - Raven, who finally emerged victorious in Clue XII
after numerous attempts. The killer this time eliminated the Dukes of
Dumbness; Crabbe and Goyle, who no doubt have been wandering around aimlessly
ever since Malfoy was killed two rounds ago. This
round saw the mysterious 'Executive' leaving additional clues for the detectives
in a series of strange ciphers - including clues left in Hexadecimal, Binary and
Base64 codes - giving a distinct advantage to anyone who was
able to unlock the Executive's Code. A five-month manhunt led to the
discovery that OverlyObsessed had committed the crime, using the Troll Club - no
doubt the only thing large and bulky enough to penetrate their
skulls.
TBC Clue XIV
Overlord: OverlyObsessed Quest for the One Ring Killer:
Raven Winner: Bragg
OverlyObsessed's grand epic fulfils her long-held ambition to become the Dark Overlylord, and sees our intrepid detectives join forces with the denizens of Middle-Earth for the latest round of Clue, as the murder of Smeagol leads to a frantic quest to find the One Ring, a device of such power it would allow the finder to control the producers of the HP movies. Each member of the 'Fellowship of the Basilisk' travels with a Middle-Earth companion, bringing forth a quest that involves short creatures with hairy feet, tall creatures with pointy ears, and tall men with long hair and obviously-phallic swords. However, there was to be absolutely no hobbit-fancying, because Sam would kill us if we try anything. Our first two-tier game of Clue lasted almost 6 months, with Raven and Legolas quickly found to be behind the murder of Smeagol, but a five-month hunt for the ring finally revealed that it was stolen by Boromir and blackfaerie11.
