The TBC Predictions Prize Giveaway

For months - even years - now, we've been speculating about what's going to happen in Deathly Hallows once it's finally released. We've covered topics as wide and varied as characters' future careers, the fate of Voldemort's followers, just what Harry's got to do to end it all, and of course, just who's actually going to live through to the final chapter. In just two months time, our wait will finally be over, and the answers we've been seeking will finally be ours. It'll be a cause of celebration, but also the end of an era in some ways - the theorising and speculating will be over, at least in terms of how the series will end. So, if our prediction games are going to draw to a close, why not send them out with a bang?

The TBC Predictions Prize Giveaway is our attempt to do just that - to celebrate the conclusion of canon (and co-incidentally our 5th anniversary) with something big, something memorable. It's open to all our members - and only our members - and will ask a series of questions about what you think will happen in the final book. When the book is released, we'll figure out what the answers actually are, and we'll then be awarding prizes - not winner's buttons, actual prizes - to those with the highest scores on our little quiz. It's just our way of thanking our members for their loyalty over the past 5 years, and to celebrate what we still have to come.

Our quiz is simple, but should give everyone a chance to make the most of their theories - the quiz contains 70 questions, in 10 categories, and also asks for another 10 open predictions from the epilogue that JKR has alluded to in the past.  All you have to do in order to enter is send your predictions to our contest email - Predictions@thebasiliskcafe.net - by 11.59pm (Central US Time) on 7th July 2007.  You'll also need to send a few details about yourself - your name or username, a contact email address, and also your age on the book's release date - 21st July 2007.  (We may need to ask some winners for a postal address, but we can't ask members under 16 to give out such information.)
